Went to a car show today, lotsa pictures.
My Son Don somehow heard about a car show in Northport Florida, which is about an hour and a half drive north from us, so today we took a little drive to check it out. Don's and his Girlfriend went in his T, and I took mine. It turned out to be a pretty good show, especially for September in Florida. Most shows flop during the summer here because of the heat and the fact most people with rods seem to come back as winter residents. Still, they had 92 cars show up, all of which we had never seen before.
Very nice people, and we had a lot of nice conversations and got great comments on both of our cars. Didn't see one jerk in the whole lot. When the show was almost over they handed out trophies, and they called my name!
I never expect to win one because my T isn't flashy. I was hoping Don would get one, and a few minutes later they called his name too!!
There were some pretty nice cars there, so it was surprising to both of us. But we aren't giving them back!!
So, here are some pictures. The first ones are us going to the show, me following Don and Taylor, and there is one of Don and I with our trophies.

Hehe, well, I could do that, but the girls down here all wear such skimpy string bikinis that I'm sure all the guys on here would complain about me posting those pictures.

Don nice pics. I loved the purple mopar and it was nice to see the Amc as well. Congrats on the awards to both you and Don Jr. He looked real happy, and you real proud along side of him! Also great progress on the frame, can't wait to see Dan's car rolling! You under rate your work. Who needs flashy when simple elegance will do. Great jobs, oh and we like skimpy bikinis!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Thanks Steve, I'm not a trophy hound, but have to admit it was nice to get one, especially from a group of people I didn't know before the show. Best part was the drive home at night.........it was perfect roadster weather, cool and a little breezy. Really pleasant.
Tom!!!!! Where the heck have you been???????? I have been thinking that it has been forever since we've heard from you. When I get home tonight from work I'll PM you and catch up on old times.

Looks like it was a good show, and congrats to ya both on the hardware!!!! The grocery store won't trade them for food but they're still nice to get and it lets ya know that someone else appreciates all the hard work that goes into a car....
Now, about that black Mustang with the red stripes and the 427 decal?????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Thanks for sharing the pics! Looked like a pretty nice little show and typical Florida weather. The wolves looked like they could have use a Big Gulp!
Kind of feel sorry for them, all that fur and Florida heat too.
Some very nice looking cars, but I can see why you and Don got a couple of awards. His looks like a traditional T, and yours... looks more like a sled T. Never realized that his cowl is taller than your windshield. Really Kewl. And I love the shot thru your windshield, gives one the feeling of really being there.

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!
And then a newer model....
