Ed Roth's Orbitron Found in Mexico!
I mentioned this in an earlier thead today, but it has been strong on my mind. Beautiful cars like the orbitron, ending up in Mexico as a garbage can! Makes me sad! Glad this guy recognized it and will try to save it.

I'll have to do some digging, but I thought I saw in an earlier (springtime)r&c mag that someone owned it and it was in the middle of a resto already??? I'll look and see if I can't find the issue, I could be wrong... Thought I was wrong once before, but I was mistaken! If its not worth doing right, its not worth doing... Donny I was rereading that article and saw Aug 30, 2007 date next to it, I guess your right again makes me happy to think it may be restored. I'd love to see it at a car show or in a museum. The head light combo is very cool. I like the recessed left headlight with the fender bent around it and the barrell red green blue lights.
The non symetric front is quite unique and foward thinking." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

"Ol' Skool Rodz" mag has an article on it. November issue, part 2. Don't have part 1 around any more, they told of how it was indeed a garbage can in Mexico.

Im also really happy to see a part of our hot rod history recovered and being restored. Personally, I think it was one of Roths worst looking creations. But it certainly is unique! In the article mentioned, they said that the red, blue and green lights when shown together created a white beam.... Id like to see that! Ed Roth was a really cool guy with some really far out ideas!!

The mysterion was even a stranger beast. Look at this interior shot and a few other. Love to have just one of the FE's.

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
