Come Monday I'm down for the count
Come Monday I may be off line for a few days or more, just depends on how I am after getting my lower back fused
I already have C-4-5-6-7 & possibly C8 already fused in my neck because of an accident & then I blew out another disc to the point the doc said I could have possibly died had I been in even the slightest accident. Now because of degenerative disc disease in my lower back I'm have to have L4-5-S1 fused together. The pain has gotten to the point that I can't hardly walk to my mailbox or even stand at the kitchen sink to do dishes w/o having a great deal of pain. The only thing that helps is to take large doses of Vicoden and then it barely does anything since I have been on them for the past 5yrs.
The doctor who fused my neck is also doing the fusion on my lower back. When he did my neck the pain was so bad that it was off the scale, it was unbearable and NO amount of drugs helped the pain in any way. When my neck was done the pain was able to be managed which is fine w/me because I knew it would never be at 100%. All I wanted is to be able to have some kind of quality of life where I wasn't depending on drugs all the time. I just want to be able to function in some form and still enjoy life in general. So I'm hoping that when my lowwer back is done I get the same kind of results.
All I know is I have more zippers on my body then Carter's got pills and this will make something like the 25th surgery I have had in my life time. Hell you'd think I'd get a discount by now considering how many I have had LMAO....joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

Joe you'll pull thru like a trooper . Get rest after and let it set and heal then get back on . Now if you have a lap top just lay in bed with it and say hi when you can .

Other then getting my back fix the only good thing coming out of this is the fact that this hospital "DOES" have the best hospital food I have ever had. It's actually edible and taste good, that & it's the one hospital that the wife & I have been in where they will bend over backwards to make your stay very pleasent.....joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE
