Kharma will get you every time!!
Just heard the news that OJ Simpson was found guilty..........13 years to the day after he got away with two murders (my opinion). He is facing 15 years minimum to life for this latest crime.
I'll bet there is a lot of hugging going on in the Goldman house today. They didn't get the justice they wanted, but someone was looking out for them and took care of it in another way. Sometimes life has a way of correcting itself.
If nothing else, he should be arrested for stupidity........got off scott free 13 years ago, then pulled this latest stunt. I think I'll toast OJ tonight with a cold one. I'd ask you to join me OJ, but that's right, PRISONERS AREN'T ALLOWED TO DRINK!!!

Cheers!
We had our own version of Kharma locally. Our city building and planning dept.s had to lay off 12 workers because their permit sales is down 1.6 million.
In 2004 we started a barn/shop rebuild and a addition to our house, the city's junior planner actually took pleasure is busting our chops and delaying permits. She was rude, smug and codescending. At the time I was furious that she even had a job, at my expense and tax paying dollars.
A couple of weeks ago she was laid off. Unfortunately, the senior Building inspector(who wasn't the nicest guy either) comitted suicide this week after losing his job.
It's funny when public servants forget who is paying their check, and then are surprised when they lose thier jobs. A little friendliness would have generated more permits and thus more money, which would have insured their jobs!
I am very sorry about Cliff the inspector committing suicide.
Sorry for the hijack Don!
I agree that Kharma has a way of catching up with you, and it's about time OJ got his.I hope this sends a message to all those other law breakers who watched him get off scott free, and see that luck and money will only get you so far in life!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

You know Steve, there are several events that you never forget where you were and what you were doing when they happened. JFK's assassination is one, 9/11 is another, and the verdict being read in the OJ double murder trial is another. I remember all of us standing in shock at work, watching that verdict come down, unable to grasp how he got away with it.
Today kind of made up for that though.

There is an old saying that "we all are a victim of the life we lead". Most criminals eventually achieve their demise by the choices they continue to make.
My mom put it another way: When somebody did something mean to her, she didn't have to "get them", because they would eventually "get themself". :-)~

Well said.
I agree Don. Everyone in my family was glued to the tv during the trial. I felt that our justice system failed bigtime that day! Glad to see some justice is still left in this world!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Itoldyouso----You've got it backwards. He pulled this latest stunt BECAUSE he got away with murder, not in spite of it. The only bad thing about this latest crime is the fact that he was walking around loose and able to commit it, instead of locked up the last 13 years.

On another chat group, one of the members pointed out that..
..."this is part of O.J.'s plan to find the 'real killer'....who is probably now behind bars for another crime."
Well, he's partly right! LMAOROF! :-)~

Unfortunately he "LA Four" who beat up Denny - including the one doing the "touchdown celebration" shown on television basically got by with a slap on the wrist. It was widely argued that the hung jury and not guilty verdicts were "payback" for the four cops who were tried for beating Rodney King.
Damian "Football" Williams, the "touchdown dancer," got 10 years. He served only four, but in 1993 was sentenced to 46 years for killing a drug dealer.
Antoine "Twan" Miller opened the door so Denney could be dragged out. He was shot to death in a Hollywood night club in 2004.
Gary Williams was convicted of one count of misdemeanor assault. Released - time served. Reportedly, he's a homeless crack addict.
Henry Keith "Kiki" Watson was convicted of one count of misdemeanor assault. Released - time served. He was the one standing on Denny's neck when Williams hit him with the concrete. He runs a Los Angeles limosine service
Karma for three of the four, I guess.Last edited by Henry Rifle; 10-04-2008 at 03:55 PM.

What's the old Meatloaf song........"two out of three ain't bad?" In this case it is "3 out of 4 ain't bad."
They had a phone interview with Ron Goldman's Dad, and he said something to the effect "at least the scumbag is behind bars where he belongs." Amen Mr. Goldman, today is yours. But Simpsons Attorneys plan an appeal.......something about too many white people on the jury. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! (oops, was I politically incorrect??????)
By the way, isn't it about time for some more riots? Those TV sets stolen in the last one are at least 13 years old now, have to be on their last legs.

'Bout time. JMO.
Talk about timing, back in eighty-??, we were shopping for a new TV at Sears, and stopped to look at a 32" model. There was something going on and the news people were all over it, so we paid a bit more attentipn to what was on, than to the set. Well, it was the infamous "slow speed chase", and as we watched, the parade on I-5 passed right by the mall where we were watching; Laguna Hills Mall. We wound up buying that TV set, and last night, our evenings crime drama watching was interrupted by the local news folk, at about 2210, to bring us the verdicts on this latest side show, live form our very own Clark County Justice Center. Yep, we watched on that same TV that we bought the day of the "Slow Speed Chase". I just love it when a (no)plan comes together.

Don,
You Took the Words Right out of My Mouth. I Couldn't have Said it Better Myself. For Cryin' out Loud, OJ is on his way to the graybar hotel like a Bat out of Hell, and there won't be any Paradise by the Dashboard Lights there.Jack
