Wow, are muscles aching
Every year at my kids school at the end of soccer season they have one more game, kids vs parents. It sure was alot of fun, but wow, I must be out of shape. The parents lost again this year with a score of 4-5. I had the perfect chance to tie it up but aparently I can't kick all that well.Towards the end of the game it was more like football than soccer and we had two balls in play. After the game we all had pizza, sure was fun but I'm paying for it

I know the feeling all too well. The three girls - probably can still beat them with physical endurance, but my son? Haven't been able to since he was about 10 and he's almost as old as me now (yeah, sure he is!!!)Dave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

I have found that young people can do miraculous things to impress the opposite sex, impress their friends, or impress themselves, but can these "youngsters" work for 8 hours?
That is usually too much to expect. Compared to us "geezers", it's kind of like "the tortoise and the hare". LOL!

I can't sympathize with all the "youth challenged" people here. I have no kids, and I'm still in my prime. hahahahahahah!!!!I ain't dumb, I just ain't been showed a whole lot!

Well it does seem that the old saying "Use it or lose it" is true. Almost 15 years ago when I was much younger we had a fund raising basketball game between graduate students and Chemistry faculty along with a local TV/radio station personality in ghoul-garb during the halloween season (The Bowman Body, a friend of Elvira). I was never much of a first string player but I could sink layups in high school. I had not played basketball for over 20 years and I was embarassed and amazed that I could not even sink a wide open layup! My body simply would not do what I remembered it used to do! They say that your body changes every seven years so maybe that explains the muscle forgetfullness. Now I work about half a day on the car and try not to shy away from working underneath with a lot of bending, crawling etc. and that is my only exercise other than taking a walk in the Mall several times a week for a brisk 1 mile walk. My wonderful wife reminds me if I do not at least do the Mall-walk and she does a lot of digging in her gardening obsession. The bottom line is that it is true that atrophy does occur if we do not exercise! Now it is important to keep the open end 3/4" and the 5/8" wrenches handy and keep the arm muscles tensed up as well as all those strange positions your legs have to get into when you mess around under the car.

Personally, I have no use for kids. When they get old enough to hold a job, a gun, and a voter card, THEN they become useful.
That being said... Youth is wasted on the young. Outsmart them, don't try to out do them..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Remember fellas, it's not the age, it's the mileage!
It'll also take it's toll if you've been rode hard and put up wet!I ain't dumb, I just ain't been showed a whole lot!
