Wow, That thing is clean! So down the road I suggest swapping in a late model 4.8 with an overdrive tranny and then you will have some nice scoot for the Scooter. With that light car and the EFI motor high 20s for mpg should be easy. And you can get a complete pullout engine, trans, harness for about $500 or less these days. (And if you do the math a 4.8 figures out to a 292! Maintains your early SBC heritage ) Something to think about. Good luck with your move and welcome to the Green Socialist Republic of California. Did you find a good gig down there? The weather, beach and babes are nice for sure.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Turbo 6 would be cool.. bet you could hide a small intercooler behind the grill, but you would need 2.5" gromets and a hole saw to pipe it all togtherYou don't know what you've got til it's gone

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
