The wiki is just like any forum and people's opinions are reflected there just as they are here. If the courts uphold Streetbeast's suit then just about any company will feel free to go after any forum where someone posts something derogatory about their product. They won't be able to get monetary damages but unless a form administrator is willing to invest a big pile of money to fight them the alternative is that whatever is posted will wind up being removed to settle the suit, which by the way is exactly why the suit would have been filed in the first place. This in essence takes away our right to free speech.
Just asking for you guys to support our fight to keep this from happening to anyone in the future.Centerline

Ok, I DIDN'T really kick the cat, I just tore some tags off of my pillows instead. Any minute I expect the FEDS to come busting down my door and dragging me off in shackles.
I'm a rebel, I tell ya.

It's nothing more or less then a civil litigation....a lawyer's involved version of small claims court.....
The 1st amendment deals with freedom of speech, religion, and assembly as it referes to people and groups vs. the government... No individual can deprive another of free speech, but when libel, slander, and defamation is alleged by one party or the other a civil court case can be a result... It really has nothing to do with any first amendment rights..... The first amendment and in general the entire Bill of rights concerns the people vs. the government, not people vs. people... Waving the flag and the constant mention of freedom of speech is a misnomer here, and IMO nothing more then a scare tactic using key words to incite others to donate to a cause that is only a civil matter!!!!!!!!! Neither the federal or state government has denied or seeks to deny anyone involved their freedom of speech.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Here's the 1st Amendment in the Bill of Rights, courtesy of a law revue article at Cornell University:
Bill of Rights
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave your quite the statesman. I am very impressed by what you've said tonight.
Don always a gentleman we knew you didn't kick the cat, but the pilows, oh my!
No idea of who street beasts is. I'd like to think there is a major difference between stating an opinion like say Summit Rocks, or Dorman uses funky seals, but come through in the end, would be ok. Since it's an individual's perception.
On the other hand attacking anyones personal buisness is prone to get you sued unless your careful. Glad we all get along so well here!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

I bet the cats would hide the evidence and Don would be in the clear!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Before starting the build of a 34 coupe back in 2005,I researched the various Mgrs. and all the forums .I found most forums input was negative toward Street Beasts. I decided to go another route.
Even after all that research MATT167 said my car looked like a Street Beast.
I ask,is it to late to sue Matt167? LOL,LOLDon D
