It's kind of wintry here in sunny, warm Las Vegas, too.Snowed on Monday, bright bluebirdy but cold sky yesterday, and it snowed right down here in town this afternoon. When we went out yesterday for some errands, the mountains were covered all the way down to the valley floor; sure was pretty. But, this is very unusual; most winters are fairly mild, temps seldom getting below freezing.

What R. Pope said.......
As Don noted, we're getting what, for us, is cold weather. Add in our propensity for rain and you end up with white stuff. But then the delightful marine system that gives us so much greenery also gives us moderating temps that melt the white stuff, turning it back to liquid, then the sun goes down, as does the temp, and you get...................ICE!! Oh yippee. Anyway, glad I've got heat in the shop, and a backup generator for when the ice and snow bring down a tree or three and take out a power line.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I know other parts of the country get lots of snow. In Portland (Oregon) it comes rarely and it's even more rare for it to stick around. This my backyard over the past few days - check out the birdbath!
Arizona, New Mexico, Southern California looks real good to me!

Dave; Send some good photo's and I'll show them to the guys at the car club.
Other wise I'll just have to keep the sunshine beaches and girl's in in little Bikini's all to myself. Kurt

We got no snow but we got ice. Temps are in the 30's most days, but it might hit 40 by the weekend. Got back from not so sunny Florida about a week ago, temps there were in the 50's and 60's, not to hot not to cold. I would trade for it any day, but to be honest, I would probably be just as happy in any sunbelt state.
Might have to get a job as a snow bird. That way I can be here for the spring and summer and go down to Florida and annoy Don and family during the fall and winter.Bob

Went from 47* Sat during the day...to -12* by Sun sunrise with about 6'' of snow. Been bitter cold here until yesterday afternoon when it finally hit 34*.... M-W average daytime hi's were 15* dropping to -20* after sunset.
And the weather gurus are predicting another "artic blast" to hit this weekend with the temps staying in the low teens and way below zero at night, staying around for most of next week.
Now I remember why I grew to loathe Colorado winters. For me ideal temps would be 70's/80's all year round with it only getting cold and snowing during the Holidays...."Breathe in... Breathe out... then move on with life. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff"

Whenever things get too chilly, you can sit real close to the monitor and warm yourself. :-)~

Just cold enough here to hail, but not quite snow during the day. If we get some more moisture tonight, we may get snow!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
