Gotta wonder how it ever got there, huh??? They were a very unique car, would be fun to find one someday, think it would need a bit of the pro touring touch.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Actually, the junkyard is a great place for a Bricklin! They were junk right from the dealer!!Trust everyone once. Just be cautious of what may be lost.

I helped a friend who owned a body shop back in the 70's repair one that had been hit. The doors were very heavy and a real pain in the arse to get on and off and then to get them set up correctly. As Pat stated, fit and finish was not one of their pride marks. Very interesting car, finish looked like a polished gelcoat more than paint. The one we worked on was green, bright John Deere green.
Oh, and yeah they were fast......if you were into racing slugs.
Certainly would make a interesting collector's item.Bob
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

SV-1 Bricklins had an acrylic (sometimes referred to as an acrylic/fiberglass) body. When the things got outside in the hot sun, the body had more waves than a chubby girl's swimming pool. There used to be a body in the lobby of a plastics company in Ft. Worth Texas....a brand new body that was less than straight.

"Cut, Chop & Rebuild" (Speed Channel) just finished a complete rebuild of a Bricklin. They found many of the fit and quality problems mentioned but worked through them to end up with a nice result.
