Two things......
I use AVG and it's great. Much better than norton and mcafee
I have used the forum link below before with technical issues. All of the computer know it alls hang there and can answer about any question that you throw at them. If you don't want to register, I can send you my log on info and you can use my account to post if you like......

When I used windows, I used AVG to scan my computer when somthing might have gotten past Avast's active scan.. but since going to Ubuntu Linux. I don't need to worry about viruses, and don't even run antivirus o my windows partition, because I don't use it enough to say soYou don't know what you've got til it's gone

More good stuff!
My computer was running slow so I added another freeware called Spybot,after it cleaned out the hidden junk it was unreal the amount of speed it picked up.

I also use AVG and the techs at Virtual Dr are awesome, just be sure to go back and post a 'Thank you' if their advice works, it means a lot to them to know they've helped and that you appreciate their help.
