53 Ford Wagon
Hello guys I have been out of touch for a while but am ready to get started again, at least till they deside when they are going to do my knee replacement. I sold the 53 wagon back in the fall to a guy in Ohio, I found out he had sold it to some preacher in Tenn. Then he sold it to a guy in Al. Who called me to find out what happened to it??????? Seems the guy that sold it to the last guy didn't forward curent pictures. Well he wanted to know how to get it back to its finished ( by me ) condition. I told him what was there and how seems an S10 rear end had been installed and the Locker 9" was Gone along with the rear disks. He wasn't at all pleased but I told him he called the wrong guy. Anyway I'm back working on the wifes 57 Hoping I'll have it ready for summer.Charlie

I actualy messed up my knee at a car show around the 27th of Sept. Walked all day no problem next day I couldn't walk. I started using crutches and in about 1 mounths time I had my left shoulder about dislocated and the thigh mussle in my right leg was SHOT. Now Im doing therapy to build up the mussle so I can have the surgery in March. I HOPE. One of the boys wanted a truck for hunting so I found a 88 Chevy not running and rough in the rust department. Had it runing in about 1/2 hr. ECM was bad so changed that and tuned it up. Then started on rust new fenders, doors, rockers, cab corners, and a used bed. I've probably got another week to finish it up I bought it for $500.00 put in about 5 more so when done he should be good for a few years. O have to deliver it to Grand Island NE. after all this. Then we'll get back on the 57 which is ready for paint. I have the interior about ready to put together. got all the glass and rubbers. It runs and drives now so I hope to have it ready by summer unless my knee slows me down to much.Charlie

Looks like it will turn out to be a decent old truck Charlie.....BTW--- When you're heading across I-80 in Nebraska, Speedway Motors has one heck of a nice museum in Lincoln, Ne. if you want to see some really neat old vintage iron and vintage race cars....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
