Bob, Pretty scary! Just think it is "designed by Barney Frank"! You have a good way about making the point while I just worry that the Pelosi model will reign for at least four years, maybe more and a lot of changes will be made in that time. Let's hope that just one extra Republican senator can enable the filibuster to slow down the process until the public gets tired of the baloney and elects a more balanced Congress where real debate can occur.

Oh well, at least you and Uncle Bob get to spend the next four years blaming the Democrats for all the ills of the world!!!!!!!

The only chance we have of surviving the next 4 years with a government even intact is if people were to stop blaming the other party and actually work together to try to straighten this whole dang mess out..... Otherwise, it's just 4 more years of one party villifying the other and accomplishing absolutely nothing.... Still haven't heard anyone from any party come up with a plan to pay off the most recent $700 billion giveaway, let alone the hundreds of billions that will be spent trying to fix the mess..... Just looks to me like the government is going to keep throwing money around and doing nothing!!!!!!!

Trickle down economics didn't work, I seriously doubt the reversal will work either...... Maybe some huge public works projects would help, would at least generate some taxes and create jobs..... Maybe it's just too late and the best we can hope for is the replacement system will implement a huge dose of common sense, and make a balanced budget the first item in the new constitution??????

Hey Dave, you said the word "balanced", that's a step in the right direction. The majority in Congress tends to oscillate in a way which gives strength to the system, but a super-majority can lead to real abuses.

Ya know what sucks, Obama wants another stimulus package signed no later than early Feb., were talking another 800 billion. I understand they want to get the economy going, but how many generations are going to pay for it? Heard it this evening on NPR on the way home from work.
