50th Anniversary
For those you who are interested tomorrow, Feb 3rd, is the 50th anniversary of "The Day The Music Died". I personally know that the music is alive and well, but that is another story.Ken Thomas

Buddy Holly music will live on for another 50 years, maybe 100, or until it is outlawed by the new society.
His greatest hits are number 1 disc in my changer, followed by other memorable 50's greats.
One of these days I'm going to load up the 57 Ollds and head out to Clear Lake and the Surf Ballroom for the annual Winter Dance Party. This year's was the 50th Anniversary Show. Would have loved to have been there, but would have had to fly instead of driving. And to me that just ain't cool.

BTW, did you notice the "E" was back in the name on the headstone?
I didn't notice that. I was looking at the age, and thinking back to when I was 23. So much talent and just a few years for him to enjoy life but as some have said his music will never die. Not too many rock singers could sing with a big band like he could.

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
