Best news I have heard in a long time

I got online this morning and recieved a short note from Joe overseas. From what I am told they are getting ready to load everything up and head back home. He won't be home until the later part of March because they have a few more "Tour of Duty" stops(I've been calling it his Vacation Tour) to make but at least we know he's closer to being home then he was last week.
I am so happy he'll be in the states that I feel like I'm on cloud 9..........joe

That's great to hear Joe. Pass on a thank you to him from an old vet when he gets home.

Joe I am so happy for you. I know what you are feeling. Give your son a big hug from us when you see him.

    Ditto!

Hug him good and thank him for another ol' vet. I get a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes just thinking about it Joe!

Congrats. My son informed us this weekend that his unit is being deployed to Iraq. His unit was notified in December that they had to get ready for orders. They start 90 days of training the end of June and then will be there for 12 months.
