Ford Blue
Hey Guys;
I've had this three ton jack for about 10 years now.
Since the day I got it I've had problems with it.
Leaking and problems with bolts coming loose.
Well about 6 months ago I lent it to a friend and
it came back with all the bearings gone in the rear
wheels, on both sides. I bought some new rear wheels
and they were to big to turn 360 degrees so the ears
that the old wheels were on, were to short for the new wheels.
In other words the wheels hit the sides of the jack.
So I cut off the old ears and welded longer ears to the
side of jack to mount the new wheels on.
Now the Jack was alway chevy orange but me being a
Ford guy only had Ford blue paint.
So this is what I used to re - paint it, since then
the Jack has stoped leaking the bolts that always came
loose, stoped coming loose. And now the angle seems to be
better and it rolls smoother then ever.
I guess it was just jealouse of that beautiful ford blue color.
I'd be a little pissed to if some one painted me a ugly
chevy orange color. HE! HE! HE! KurtLast edited by vara4; 02-11-2009 at 06:50 PM.

Good thing it wasn't painted Chrysler blue, the transmission would have fallen out. Oh oh, we're gonna get THIS thread shut down too.

It's funny for my being a Ford fan, I have to say I don't like the shade of old Ford blue. I guess it goes way back to my first Ford engine rebuild!. I kind of like the darker shade of Blue which I believe is new ford blue but could be wrong. When in doubt black is beautifull!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

They seem to be slowin down lately and us Ford guys like to give every one
