My Little Boy(Yeah Right)
He isn't so little anymore at 6'2" 235lbs and deadlifting almost 2x his weight. But anyway we've been getting phone calls from him off & on & he has became a world traveler. He's been to France, Greece, Italy, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and The Kingdom of Bahrain during his travels on this tour. He call this morning & while talking to his mom he said he had been enjoying some Ouzo earlier that day & was enjoying his time off the ship. He has taken a ton of pics during his travels & was having one hellva time seeing all the sites & countries. Not sure when he'll be in the states but from what he tells us he should be home for my b-day at the end of April.
It's hard to believe 7months have flown by so fast & this tour is coming to an end something soon, which Denise & I are so happy about. Denise told me this morning that as soon as we find out how much time he's taking to come home that she is talking that same amount of time off for vacation so we all can hang out together. We do know at this moment he's bringing his girlfriend home w/him who we do know. She's the sister of one of his best friends & the daughter of the family who took him under their wing & basicly adopted him out in Jacksonville, NC.
So the time is ticking down & it isn't getting here fast enough for all of us involved. Anyway that's the update as we know it.....joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

Glad your boy is doing well, and it sounds like he has it all together. My oldest did a tour with F14's out of Japan and it really opened his eyes to see the other parts of the world, and everything that he had taken for granted growing up. Tell him 'Thank you' for serving next time you see him, after the bear hug.

Blessings to you and Godspeed for your son's safe travel and return. He is truly a great American and from what I can tell, comes from good stock! Please extend appreciation from this ol' war horse to your son as he has my highest regards and greatest respect for the service he is providing not only to his country, but in the name of freedom around the world!
Sincerest Regards,

I know a little of how you feel, my niece was in Iraq, and when she came home I was teared up with joy. Good luck to your son, and what could be your future daughter in-law.
Those that have served, and are serving are really special, and generous, with this being a volunteer military today.

Joe I know how you feel. Hubby was in the Navy. The time will really start to fly by until that last week when they are coming home. Then it will drag. I am so glad that he is coming home safe and sound. Give him a hug from all of us and thank him for all that he has done.BARB
LET THE FUN BEGIN
Thank you Roger. .
