I should have mentioned that I am ex SAS and that i do understand that we all need to defend our families, county and friends - I have worked with some of your finest and have been trained to kill, but i choose not too, I just don't understand why some people believe its ok to shoot first and ask questions later! Its about time that some people understand that guns do kill innocent people.. And if you are serious about what you just said somethings need to be changed. Sorry to bring up this old subject, it just upsets me to see this attitude thats all.I have seen enough death and destruction in my life and don't get why people think they need to arm themselves with fire arms to feel safe - if you need a gun to feel safe, there are much deeper problems that need to be addressed. Peace out my fellow rodders!!

Lyndsay!1 - You want a reason .... check the daily news paper here in atlanta (01/13/10) about the disgruntled employee that went back to his work place - shot the first person hey saw, who was NOT an employee but a patron, then go into the business & shot 4 others - 3 dead. No one was able to fire back because ...... they didn't have a gun. Of course they could have blocked the bullets with file folders or tried to reason with him .....

Unless you work in a bubble ....... I'd rather have & not need than to need & not have.

I guess your statements & opinions about guns or not carrying one would be lots of comfort to those families that lost a loved one. Not!

I venture to believe you came here (this GREAT COUNTRY) for a reason & its probably not for the coffee. You could always return to the Oz.

    I'm with ted dehaan.

Ya know I love when foreigners come here to suck this country dry & then complain about the problems. Un-F'n-believable.

I'm with REGs, and many more on here!!!!!!!!

If you think it's not right to have & carry guns, then why don't you stop wasting our time, and go convince the bad guys to stop carrying their guns, so that we don't have to!

I didn't think it would work either! So I'll be keeping mine!

I agree --> "Ya know I love when foreigners come here to suck this country dry & then complain about the problems. Un-F'n-believable."

Why do foreigners come here and try to change "our" country to what theirs is like, Why not just stay there if it's so much better there!

And for the bullets I buy for the cost of a chesse burger, I can eat and keep a lot of meat in the freezer. For many of years, cause I only shoot one bullet to take down a deer, a bear, Elk, etc, I hit what I shoot at, I have never had to put 2 bullets in anything I've taken down! One bullet, one kill!!!

I'll let you go so that you can drink your concrete and harden the F up !!!

Funny thing about guns and crime. This last year our gun sales soared, but our violent crime rate with guns dropped!
I asked my niece if someone beat a person to death with a baseball bat, should we ban bats? Did the bat company get sued for being involved in a killing? She said a bat can't go off by accident and kill someone. I asked if a person in a car on a cell phone texting hit and killed someone, is it the car's fault? She got frustrated and angry with me, because ultimately people kill people, guns just make it easier like cars!

Either way it's still the persons falt. But! Not just carrying, but using a cell phone in around people, is different than using a gun in and around people!

I don't not like people that talk on their cell phones and drive.
But! A person that kills someone with a car, didn't set out with the car to killl someone in mind, but someone that set out with a gun has aready thought of killing someone with it before he set out with it! Or to protect themself or others from someone with a gun or a bat!

    Bob,

Is that a gun with a cell phone attached or a cell phone with a gun attached? Please tell me that isn't a smart gun that you have to type in the combination before firing.

Would that cell phone/gun be capable of taking pictures? If so one could shoot, call and take a picture. Did you want that cell phone with or without the gun?

When my children were in jr.high school many years ago we had a discussion one evening during supper about guns. The kids had been so brainwashed by the public school system on how guns kill and to the point that they were asked to tell the teachers which of your parents owns guns.

After supper that night and after trying for an hour to explain that guns dont kill people but its people who use guns that do the killing I when to my room, brought one of my guns back to the supper table, unloaded of course, and place it on the table and made my kids set there and watch that gun till that gun kills one of them. It took them about 30 minutes to finally figure out that the gun itself wasnt the one that does the killing when it didnt go off on its own.

This libreals society have so brainwashed the public that people are like robots, they only believe what the nightly news tells them to believe. Common sense has been wipe from the minds of people today.
