This is Doug, my buddy from Perth, doing his "washy/cleany" thing at one of our stops on the road.--He was more concerned about keeping the "Wild Canary" clean and spotless thoughout the tour than I was.

I just had to post this shot---Two of the nicest teenage girls I have ever met. These girls were on the tour, riding with their parents from Timmins, Ontario in a 1956 Nomad wagon. The girls were beautifull, and they had personalities to match. Their parents were very nice folks too, but not nearly as photogenic as their daughters!!!

This is the young, very brave couple from Oshawa, Ontario---They made the entire 3000 mile trip with no top. The girl suffered a bout of food poisoning from funky pizza on the way down. I never heard them complain the entire trip, but I'll bet if you checked, thay are both starting to grow webs between their toes from all that damn rain!!!

When we stopped overnight in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia the local rodders had put together a "cruise night" at a (Blechhh) A&W. They have a lot of VERY impressive iron in and around Dartmouth!!! (I don't really hate A&W---Its just that after eating at one every day for 4 days straight, my blood was starting to smell like root beer.)

This shot is fairly typical of every morning/evening shot at the hotels we stayed in---Either washing up for the coming days trip, or washing the road muck off from the days journey.

And then we got to the Nationals. I didn't take many pictures there, because as I said in my main post ---I just wasn't that impressed by what I saw there. You can put that down to my being old and jaded, a hotrod snob, or just a plain grumpy old fart. I did see a car which was about as radical a custom as you could hope to see---It was in primer, and I just had to get a shot of the humoungus tail fins, and I got a picture of your typical bad-boy flamed Merc.
