Don, I wish I had been able to see the 51 Ford before I bought it off ebay. It was a daily driver, tons of new parts, new wires, tires, plus on and on. Bottom line I trusted the guy. I have $3,200 with shipping, it may be worth from $500 to $700.

Thats where you messed up.....NEVER totally trust someone selling on ebay!! I got burned ONCE when I was a newbie to ebay.

I just bought a 51 mild custom chevy on ebay. Gonna pick it up tomorrow. BUT...I have not paid the first dollar on it and won't untill I can see and drive it!!
Trust everyone once. Just be cautious of what may be lost.

Yeah Richard, but Bob is still napping after that one. He only comes up with one a year, but it does take it's toll on him. (you know how old people are.)

I should of known better, I've sold a lot of cars sight unseen without any complaints. I try to give a good description plus lots of pictures, and phone conversations. My wife has been on ebay since 1997 this is the first car that I took a chance on from ebay. I have bought other cars and had them transported without seeing them first, sometimes they are too far to go see in person so not all people are crooks. I'll try to get it up to par with patching the floors, rockers, quarter panels, and glass. The person that buys it will be satisfied or I won't sell it. I have never screwed anyone while selling a car and I don't want to start at this late date in my life. Good luck on your new purchase.

When you buy, and sell they usually work out some you make a little bit some you lose a little bit. I bought a 68 Impala SS convertible locally for a very good price the guy was going to Florida for the winter and just wanted to get rid of it. This guy put a lot of money in the car, for some people it just doesn't seem to bother them to lose money, or sell for less then they have in the car.

Would this be (ironic) I bought a 41 Ply coupe the guy's last name was Crook the engine was bad?
