54 Merc for Steve
Steve, You asked for a picture so I started this thread. I didn't want to distract from eyepoppin's thread. This was the day I bought it. Anyone that wants to post his or her pictures is welcome.

Thanks Dave, Steve wanted me to put some pictures on. We were at eyepopping's thread.
I thought I would start one where anyone could post pictures of their cars getting ready to cruise. I hope to go for a cruise with the wife, or girl friend if the wife doesn't want to go tomorrow!!
I really liked the Merc you painted yellow, I always wanted one of the 49 to 51 but they are too far out of my reach.

Thanks, My all time favorite is the 51 but unless you get one that needs a lot of work they are high dollar. This car came with scratches so I won't be afraid to drive it.

Hey Richard I'm awake again! Thanks for putting this page up!
Wow what a stunner! Beautifull car. Love the front end, especially the cones! I forget what actress they are named after! Lots of shinny chrome! Makes me want to go to an old drive in and get a burger and a shake!
Post some shots of the SS too!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Brings back some great memories. The second car I owned was a 54 Monarch (Canadian version of the Merc.) Came with a 256cI Y-block, 4 barrel carb and the sweetest sounding dual exhausts I have ever heard. Had a lot of fun with that car.

I wondered if you fell asleep at the keyboard, all of a sudden I had the whole site to myself. Was her name Jane? Bob would know for sure!! We are going to take it out for a little cruise tomorrow my wife was out today, she said she saw some nice cars, and bikes, it's great when the weather starts to get warm since we are not all lucky enough to live in the sun shine state. I'll put a few on of the SS if you don't fall asleep. Nice chatting with you.

Dave, I couldn't get either one to go with me, so I went by myself. It was nice first cruise of the season. There is just something magic about an old car and the open road, I have to get a cd player so I can listen to the oldies. It still has the 6volt am radio.
Put some high octane in, it was only $2.19 .20 more per gallon the regular.

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
