posts not showing up
This is the third time I am attempting to post. My first two did not show up. When I posted them. I got the message that they would not show up until viewed by the moderator but it has been 3 days. I can't believe it would take that long so I'm thinking there is something wrong????

They probably do extensive background checks these days. Cant have some crazy nut job just posting here. There are already a couple thousand of us doing that already. Anymore of us and it will be an insane assylem site instead of a car forum. Any way welcome, and it worked this time.
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

There is something wrong allright. The Moderator told me he's working two jobs plus 80 hr weeks. Also he moderate a bazillion other boards. Little time to verify nor moderate. Someone needs to step up and help the poor guy out. I just contributed $$$ to the site and my post still have to be reviewed. I feel like I'm in a third grade classroom
This one will be pending as wellKeep on cuttin and gluein.. No needles required... ~robert

When a private message is sent, the content of such is left as a private conversation between two people.
Yes, I work 80+ hours a week (multiple jobs in the two businesses I own), that really is not an issue or something that is not known to the members here as it is my choice since I need to feed and house my family and do not have a pension to fall back on. However, it is also my choice to moderate this site as an unpaid volunteer, why because a friend asked me to back in April 2001 when this site was not even a day old. Getting help is harder than you might think, as you have to find others who can stay neutral, even when it may makes friends angry. Then try asking them to do it for free. In this "what is in it for me" century, those who have stepped up to the plate let the power go to their heads and were removed. Again, this is not a paid gig, we (I) do it because of our (my) love for all things automobile related. If it causes some delays in your posts showing up as a new user, sorry, hope you understand.
Now, with that said, money really has nothing to do with it, the 100's of spam posts that get made every day that you guys don't see does (you guys cannot imagine what goes on behind the scenes). This is why new users must have the first few of their posts moderated. Be it an advertisement or not. Most (MOST) new users understand this and go with the flow as they see the big picture, some sadly take it personally, or allow others to sway them offline in to thinking it is a conspiracy of some kind. Again, sorry, this is not the case..
The rest.........Well, that is up to you guys.........

OHHHH. It's just the first few posts for new users. I thought that ALL post from EVERYBODY were moderated at all times before publishing. I was almost scared off thinking that it would take a long time for my post to be published the whole time I wanted to be here. Understandable now that I know, I'll stick it out.

Thanks for all the hard work you do Bill in keeping this site straight and safe! I can't imagine the time it takes to stay on top of it with all the other things life has to throw at us! I am on my 2nd go-around here (new username) and noticed the "Needs to be approved" note and no big deal... gotta watch out for the Riff-Raff!
