Yahoo!! First time out this year---
I just had to get out there and go for a run today to try out my new side windows. There is still snow in the fence corners, and the temp is only 50 degrees F, but the sun is shining. The windows make a big difference--much less wind blowing thru the cab at 70 MPH and a whole host of new squeaks and rattles that I never heard before because of wind noise. It only takes a few seconds to fit the window into the front slot and run a couple of 1/4" wing-nuts over the studs that hold the lexan in place. One thing I did discover---when the passenger side door springs open onto the second catch on a bad bump, I can no longer grab the top of the damn thing and slam it shut.--Will have to fab a couple of door pulls, I guess. I will only be using these windows on long haul trips---as in 350 to 400 miles a day on my trip down to the Atlantic Nationals in New Brunswick. The rest of the time they will live in a cloth bag in the back of the truck, under my locking tonneau cover.--Let the hotrodding season commence--

Brian,You have got to move south. We never put our rides under raps here in Texas.
Say the window looks good, very professional.
Do you have to put the window in after entering the car or does the door open with it mounted?Don D

Hi Don---Its one of those deals where you set the window in the car, then you get in the car, then you pick up window, fit it into milled slot on aluminum part screwed to windshield post, then swing it sideways untill it fits over a couple of threaded studs on the top frame, then put a couple of wing nuts on to hold it there. Works great but definitly not designed for fast get-aways. I signed up for the Canadian Hotrod Tour down to the east coast and back this summer, about 2500 miles, so thought I'd like the option of plugging those big holes for each 300 to 400 mile leg of the trip.Old guy hot rodder
