I always liked the way the Crosleys and Metropolitans were built for altered classes. For the younger enthusiasts, the wheelbase was too short for legal competition, but in Altered you could shove the front axle outside the body....which made for some wild looking race cars! I remember a max wedge powered Metro that raced around central Illinois, that always got my attention. I'll see if I can find a couple pictures.Last edited by HOTRODPAINT; 04-18-2009 at 06:28 PM.

My dad had a wagon that I would play in. They quit driving it when the cops pulled them over because the headlights (little blinker-like bulbs in font of a reflector) weren't bright enough! Our cat had many litters of kittens in the back too. . . .
He had 2 or 3 engines for it and they were small. I wish we could have kept it and fixed it up. I think a Ford SHO V6 in it would have been killer. Put an aerostar trans behind it for RWD. . . . . Simple and E F F E C T I V E ! ! ! !It's Just a Car!
It takes a real MAN to build a hotrod - and not use chevy power!!?
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
