Tucson Rodders Days pictures
There was a great turnout...great weather...great music, and loads of people, for the 35th annual event. The available areas were full of vendors, food wagons, and people relaxing in their lawn chairs, talking about (you guessed it) cars....and reuniting with old friends.
This was the show & shine portion of the weekend, and took place at the popular historic 4th Avenue location, lined with antique shops, restaurants, and such.
Rods and customs lined both sides of the street, and spilled into the parking lots. The street was closed to all traffic except the trolley, which shuttled people from one end to the other, of the several-blocks-long show.
All of the popular classic body styles were there in numbers, but here are a few of the more unusual entries....Last edited by HOTRODPAINT; 05-03-2009 at 01:34 PM.

...and still a few more!
There isn't much left of that blue Chevy truck!
The blown Hemi Willys is a local legend. Owned by the propietor of Don's Hot Rod Shop, it was the AHRA BB/GS record holder in the seventies, but today does street duty.....still running a blown Hemi!

If you look to the left, you will see the fender of a full size car. This would seat one child about 10 years old, if he put his knees under his chin. :-) It looked to have about a 10 horse engine, with electric start ....maybe from a generator???
Getting closer on this project. What a lot of work!
