    Gas prices going up again!

Wow prices has shot up in the last week. It was 2.53 a couple of weeks ago for regular, and now it's 2.93 tonight! Looks like were in for it again. Funny thing, I haven't heard anything about barrel priced yet!

It's all about monetary and energy policy. We let our dollar devalue, world price of crude rises. We chase windmills, others, particularly China plan for the next economic recovery by making deals around the world for the energy they'll need; http://www.scandoil.com/moxie-bm2/ne...companie.shtml And we the citizens sleep and/or blame the oil companies...........again (what's that saying about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?)

So now gas has shot up to $2.93 gallon. If I'm making $25 per hour that formula looks like this. 2.93/25=11.72% of my wage buys a gallon of gas.

The price to wage ratio has dropped by 6.38%, gas has never been this cheap!!

Yeah, what Evolvo said..... When I got out of the Air Force in '72, I went travelling around Europe for a few months.... Had to go on a EuroPass or hitchiking... The price of fuel was about $4.00 a gallon....

This country has been spoiled for years.... Time to pay the fiddler, either pay the price for the fuel and the needed exploration to find more, or get used to hitchhiking!!!!

I know, easy for me to say./...... I still use E-85-- oh well, getting harder and harder to find anything that the use of gives a "warm fuzzy"..... as Uncle Bob describes my attempts......

Yep! What are prices in your neck of the woods. Evolvo - I like the way you view it, gas is darn cheap compared to the percentage of hourly wage. Just find the price thing interesting. Last year a barrell shot up, next day gas shot up, this year doesn't corelate same way. Damb speculators!

Probably wrong but WE as in every one cuts back on useing fuel so there is less demand. The oil companys need x$ to operate we aren't buying gas so the price goes up to compensate. We are not going to win we are going to pay what they want and thats it. Or buy a bike. E85 must be ok by some but they built a fewlants here and then closed them down. They can't make it cheaper than they can sell gas. Your not going to win

Well, we mixed up two drums of E-90 for drag racing today, (E-100 blended off with E-85) the octane is 111 and the price per gallon comes out to $1.90/gallon--gets expensive when you have to buy the E-100....

Anybody know what Sunoco 110 is this year????

$2.49 here in southern PA. Up 29 cents in 2 weeks. Guess their getting their profits before hurricane season. Glad my only big trip this year will be in 3 weeks maybe I will get in and out before the prices go ballistic again.

Yeah, if you make $25 an hour!
Gas jumped 50¢ a gallon in two weeks here in So. Florida. It's not unexpected. What's unexpected is the news hasn't been flooded with gloom and doom about rising gas prices. Interesting...
