If the weather co-operates, the wife and I will hit the local show (Findlay, OH) "Classic Memories". his will be our first show of the year. Then pack for a quick trip to the Cleveland Clinic for the better half. This will be her 2nd lung biopsy in less than 3 months. Wish her luck.

Was planning on going to NHRA reunion at Bowling Green but was notified yesterday that my youngest sister's husband passed away and we are sticking around for the service on Tuesday before we can leave on vacation--most of the family members will be in Illinois so guess we shouldn't leave
Was looking forward to seeing all those old guys that we used to race against but family first---and then off to look for property in the hills---with room to turn the rig around, put up a Morton Building (5000sq ft) and some fruit trees for the desert to go with what ever I shoot

The kid got a real good job but the drawback is he can't drive the sprint car anymore,so Iv'e taken over the driving duties till I can get it sold. Not a bad deal as Iv'e won a few heats and never finished outa the top 4 in the features, and currently got it 2nd in points. This 98 degree weather and the not getting home till 3:00 a.m. is gonna be ruff on my raggedy wore out 55 year old butt tonight . Then guess I'll spend the rest of the weekend working on putting the 442 back together along with cutting the grass for Momma Laurie.

Happy Fathers Day to all you guys out there. My weekend will probably be just like every one has been for the past umteen weekends, working on Dans RPU. All week we worked on cleaning and organizing the shop because we haven't been able to find stuff. Made a big difference, so now we're ready to get back on his car.
I also want to get the body lifted off of my RPU so I can start putting in the new transmission. Trying to get it ready for the Billetproof Drag Races in late October. Have to con Dan into doing some final welding for me.
It's been around 100 degrees during the day here lately, so nightime has been when we are going over there.

Well lets see, since we have had such great weather!!!
The LL has a neighborhood yard sale she has been planning with a several others on Saturday (forecast = rain)
Yard work this afternoon and Sunday PM (forecast = rain later today as well as Sunday) and put the unsold "treasures" back in their boxes and reclaim the garage for vehicles
( I did go to the William's Grove races last Saturday while at York for the NSRA SR Nationals. They had over 40 winged sprint cars along with 4-5 other classes racing )Dave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

We have a big car show in town as well, but not sure if I will make it over. This has been a very busy week and next week isn't looking any better.
