There used to be a speed shop in Orlando area that did them, about $ 2. each. We had them do 224 louvers in my Sons RPU tonneau cover about 3 years ago. He did a great job, but last we heard he had moved his operation to another State. But then there was some question about him coming back again, so I'm not really sure where it stands right now.
I'll talk to my Son today and see if he remembers the name of the place and where it is exactly and post back for you. When we were researching louvers we got prices all over the place, from $ 2 each to $ 5 each. Like I said, he did a great job, all straight and nicely punched.

I just happened to think...........I still have the tonneau cover packed in the crate we shipped it to him in, and that he shipped it back to us in. It might have the shipping label on it with his name and address. I'll look today when I'm at the shop.Last edited by Itoldyouso; 08-15-2009 at 05:20 AM.

You can also look for any precision sheetmetal shop in your area. Most if not all of them have louver tools.

Kevin, give Cecil Taylor at Hercules Motor Car Co. in Tampa a call (813) 621-2220. He has dies to press louvers, not sure if he still uses them though. He was in Bonneville last week, don't know when he's coming back to the shop. If you call and Greg answers, ask him.

Luckily I still had the FedEx shipping form on the crate we shipped to and from the Orlando louver shop. I talked to my Son and he says the guy was only going out of State for a while and should be back by now. Here is his name and address:
K. Donner (Ken, I think)
7161 Rose Avenue
Orlando, Fl.
If he is there, please post back because I have some work for him to do for us. He's a very honest guy too. We paid him for more louvers than he could make look right and he tried returning some money to us, but I told him to forget it, he did such a nice job it was worth every penny.

Wow Don; That is good when they try to give you money back.
To bad I ain't having any luvers done.
Once I get back on my feet I've got a buddies son that's gonna
show me how to build Upper and Lower A - Arms from scratch.
I had 3 operations this month and have not been able to bust a move yet.

Kurt.......Ouch! Get well dude. Sorry to hear about the operations.

Louvers
I did call Hercules Motor Car Co. in Tampa. They do not do them anymore. They gave me a number of another man who I called twice and never called me back. I could not find Donner on Rose Ave in Orlando. I DID find Doyle at Jacks Custom Rods and Cycles in Jacksonville and he is doing the work now. His address is 5854 Commonwealth Ave, Jacksonville FL phone number is 1-904-783-6851. Louvers are $3 per punch...Kevin in Kissimmee

Too bad our guy doesn't seem to be in Orlando any more. $ 3 a pop isn't bad. We got quotes up to $ 5 per louver when we were looking.
Let us know how the Jax guy does on your stuff........we'll use you as the Guinea pig!

Picked up my hood today from Doyle at JAX Custom Rods. The louvers look great. However his paint job that he bragged about sucked. His body work and paint are about the worst I have seen. I was just so disapointed and mad. While he did reduce the charge, it will still cost me to have someone else fix his mess. So bottom line is Louvers ok but don't let him near a paint gun.

Bummer. The pain now will be to get paint off of each louver. I wish you would have been able to hook up with the guy who used to be in Orlando. I'm going to do some snooping and see if I can find out where he went.
Oh, I just remembered something. His shop was around the back of some building at the address I gave you. He told me that so I could put that info on the FedEx tag, otherwise he was hard to find. Maybe that might help. I would talk to neighboring businesses, maybe they can shed some light on where he is.
