A hearty good morning back at you! It's a beautiful cool morning here in NE Kansas, with high 60's predicted. Only problem with this picture is I am at the office...Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Good Morning to you as well Pat. Great idea to start the week off with a thread where we can share some good stuff. I know that this is a “hot rod” forum, but more often than not, there’s a lot of camaraderie and encouragement among a membership where few of us have actually met face-to-face. In the relatively short time that I’ve been posting here I’ve “inspected” cars and run dyno simulations with Techinspector, built big block Chevys with Pat McCarthy (you’re the “king” of the BB – hands down friend!), painted with HotRod (oh that I had a tenth of your talent), bantered with Dave Severson (all good Dave – I very much respect your passion, purpose and knowledge!) and just plain enjoyed a lot of fun with a great bunch of folks who love hot rods.
Yup – it’s a great day. Sun shining in Portland. Temperatures are coolin’ off a bit and the nights are starting to turn a bit “crisp”. If the squirrels are any indication, we’re in for a cold and maybe long winter here as they (the “tree rats”) have been real busy gathering nuts and acorns.
Like most here – I work in a different profession and hot rod on the side. Maybe someday I can reverse that, but for now, I thank God for a healthy mind and body that allows me to pursue a great career as a business owner. I’m really thankful to still have a business to own and my heart goes out to those (some on this forum) that have lost their jobs of late.
Married to an angel for almost 37 years, four wonderful kids and four very special grand children – I am a man most blessed.
Yup, It’s a “good morning”..

Back at ya Robin and the best to your lady. If you ever git to Portland, Oregon - you've got a place to stay with some great BBQ ribs and maybe a salmon for good measure.

Glenn,You have made our day, have just finished work, and have read your post, feeling somewhat overcome at the moment, thank you.Lynda has always wanted to go to Oregon to check out Mt Hood, and the rhododendrons,as you have a similar climate to us,as far as the BBQ ribs go,well, what more can we say,,yuuum,,.
We are hoping to get to the US sometime in the next few years, unsure of when, but definitely inside of the next five years, hopefully for about six weeks.
This is the part of rodding we both like, meeting new people, and travelling to hot rod events/runs,shows etc.
To ALL of you up there, have a good day tomorrow, and thanks Stu Cool for a positive start to MY day...Micah 6:8

Good Morning, just got off work and got a shower, feeling better now! Gotta go play hot wheels, then go up on the roof and blow out the gutters for the possible rain. Unfortunately, no Hot Rod Garage for me today. Gotta go back to work in a couple of hours.

Good Morning Pat. Nice to be greeted by cooler weather today. Wish some of the east coast rain would find it's way out here. Very dry and hot lately. Deer season and quail have redirected the hot rod priorities for a brief time, but thats ok. It makes it more fun when I get back to it!
Nice posts and nice thoughts for starting and continuing this week!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
Merry Christmas ya'll
