I saw a lot of cars for sale at NSRA Burlington a couple of weeks ago - most MUCH nicer looking then that one - and for a heluva lot less. Quite frankly - yours is much better. Remember - the economy and prices are (way) down. This one? Wishful thinking!!Dave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

The "Icons of Speed..." auction was this past weekend at the Petersen Museum. It was no reserve on everything there and some of the prices were just flat out shocking. The market has gotten very selective. Just to give you an idea, a '29 on '32 rails that really DOES have history sold for $33k plus 10% buyers fee. This car was at the first GNRS, drove in, was disassembled and reassembled on the show floor to demonstrate to the viewers how a hot rod was built. The car was completely restored a few years ago. With that documented history, condition, and vintage equipment it had it was a steal. But that's the market today. A couple Roth creations there went for half the pre-auction estimates.
I'm guessing you want to trade your sedan and this guys story sounds like he'd be a prospect. Market value wise the two cars may be similar in value, but then that is only true if two people can agree. If his car is in fact gennie steel, had an original firewall and floors, had a more traditional interior and were a hiboy (along with quite a few more things that are "wrong" with the car) he'd stand a better chance of getting his money.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
Just in case......Happy Birthday Richard. .
