Today Was Our Day Screw-Em!!
Well today was our day; I will paraphrase a little of Herb Brooks from the US Olympic Hockey team for the Title.
I posted my story in another Thread but I didn't want to get that one started up again.
I had stated I had been robbed for a building that I paid 75% of.
Some of you may have read about me paying for a building last Dec. the guy took 75% our money and didn’t come back. It was my fault, my wife thought that was a lot of money and we should think about it but I said oh he’s ok.
All I can say is if someone does you wrong get as much information and document it the best you can. I would like the think we help the Prosecutor bring him to this point. It’s not over but I’m relived we have got him this far.

Thanks, it's been a tough year, it's like I let it consume me. Now I can relax for a while.
I was happy we really had a good Prosecutor Lady on our side.

Richard,
The new building is nice. Going through this can't be easy, but it sounds like there is at least an ending in sight.

Always nice when you can get one of the bad guys, of course getting a judgement is only half the job, next you need to collect if you haven't already.
As for the building...................looks like a western version of the Taj Mahal (or as some call them, a garage Mahal)............nice space!!Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Sad story but a happy endding. What is going into the garage?“Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it”--Lou Holtz.

Thanks Bob,
We didn't think we would get anything but I wanted him to pay for what he did not only to us but the other people that could not have the Prosecutor represent them. Their cases were Civil and the Attorney fee's could cost more then they loss.

Congrats Richard. It's hard reading about guys who fleece others. I'm trusting like you, but had a similar situation on our addition. Luckily the guy showed his true colors before we got too far in the hole. Lesson learned. Glad you've got such a nice new space to work in! Now get to those projects!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

I got a little satisfaction when I read my statement in Court. I was able to expose him for what he is; his Lawyer objected, said I was defaming his client. I told the Judge after asking for his permission to speak that I looked up statement in the dictionary. The definition said facts or opinion; and I could verify everything I was saying. The Judge said you can read your statement, my wife said the Attorney kind of slumped in his seat. I'm happy this part is over.
Thanks Steve,
I can't work in the new garage until I spill a quart of oil on the floor; it's virgin concrete right now. I do have room in the old garage so if I can get myself away from the computer I might start on a project. All of that space and I was under my wife's car outside trying to get the fuel filter changed. Talk about a job, just in front of the gas tank on a 99 Cavalier with a canister right in front of it with rusted fittings. It felt good when I finally got off and the new on though, it always feels good when you get right.

A "skip" = a dumpster.... but he says it's proper english??? Oh.. Okay. Most of us can see the dating site pun, "matching" with an arsonist.. But a "SKIP? How is that a box? It must all be...
