    HAPPY fRIDAY!!!!!!

Hey gang, we haven't done this one for a spell and seeing as how I'm gonna actually do something today besides hang out in the garage and work, thought I'd start it again!!!!

No big deal, just a bit of a road trip up to Fargo, ND to deliver a car and pick up another....But hey, it's a road trip anyway!!! Of course, this ended up being the Friday that Roger Spears is going to be in Sioux Falls to pick up his new engine. We'd planned to meet up for dinner, guess that ain't gonna happen!!!!

Whatcha got planned for the weekend that you could actually post on a public forum??????
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Our church choir won the St Louis leg of "How Sweet the Sound" back in Sept. It's a national search for the best church choir in America, kind of an "American Idol" for choirs. We competed against 8 other choirs and played at the Scott Trade Center in front of about 10,000; it was really cool. I pklay bass in the band and my wife sings. So this weekend Verizon Wireless is flying our whole group to Detroit for the finale show at Joe Louis Arena. We'll be up against 10 other choirs who were the other major city winners. Wish us luck; if you want to check us out, here's the link to our St Louis performance.

Might go to a swap meet at Thompson Speedway in CT on Sunday, but most likely - painting the South end of the house - one of "them deals" that should have been done 2-3 months ago instead of teaching worms how to swim in Lake Champlain while stuck on a fish hook

....I do understand about THAT kind of vacation. My wife just got back from a week in San Antonio visiting daughter #3 (kid #4) as well as GC. Now I have to eat "right" again and do my 'chores'

Was supposed to hit one of the local drags for the pro mods. Should be a wild night the weather has not been this nice in a month (literally)and every one is itching to get out. BUT since the weather is so nice I have to finish this picket fence in the front yard so I not going to make it to the races. I also have to replace a set of hooker headers that were leaking from the factory and have the leaky ones on the UPS truck by monday morning so I will be busy to say the least.

I always enjoy road trips, have fun good luck.

Well, today I plan to clean and paint my engine for the hot rod. If all goes well then tomorrow I'll get the engine in the frame and should be able to set the body back on the chassis by sunday.
It seems like all I do is work on the hot rod.
Me: I don't know how to build a hot rod.
Old Hot Rodder: You ever build a model car?
    Me:Yeah...
Old Hot Rodder: Well instead of using glue you weld.

I'll have to admit to "straying" from the "Good menu" while she was away!

I just came in from the garage because the bondo isn't drying fast enough. Once it dries, we will hopefully get it sanded yet today. Tomorrow I have a funeral in the morning and hope to be back home by 1:30 so that we can get the cab primed. I am taking Sunday off and think I will sleep in for once because I have been getting up at 6 for the last 3 months, including my days off. At around 9, I will be back out in the garage and start cleaning the frame for the ranger which I hope to get done, but do have some doubts. Once I get it cleaned and painted, we will jump back on the cab and get it ready for paint.

One son, Ryan, & I drove to Council Bluffs Thursday night to make Friday easier, then got up this morning and were at Sehr Performance about 10:30am. What a great bunch of guys at Sehr!! Saw their operation, grabbed some lunch with Scott & Tim, then loaded up the 347 stroker and headed south. Pulled in 7pm, and had the shrink wrapped package on the floor at 7:15pm. Great to have the engine at home!! Tomorrow will get it off of the cradle, onto the engine stand to install the pan, and then start thinking about the induction system, and then getting it all hooked up to the TREMEC 5 spd that Mike Forte fixed me up with. Cannot say enough good things about Sehr Performance - they are a class act from start to finish, as is Forte Performance Parts. Sorry we missed you, Dave!!

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
