Kileen military base
I am sure you guys heard about it .Sad day for sure .I believe the president will be in Tx today. It seems like they were right about the sleeper cells they talked about years ago. This guy weaseled his way deep inside the military waiting for his day. When at the hospital the news stated he wanted to die and to let him die. I guess they said NO,NO,NO, we want you alive.Friends dont let friends drive fords!

What a sad sad situation. Poor innocent people who did nothing wrong being killed or wounded either because this guy was just nuts or part of a plan. We really have no concept of the depth to which these people are willing to go in the name of religion. It's d*** hard to fight an enemy who are willing to strap bombs onto themselves, their women, or even their children and blow themselves up for some hereafter reward.
If the Russians left with their tails between their legs that should tell us something. They are not saddled with the same Political Correctness we are and don't care what the Press or people at home say. Every time we drop a bomb we have to appologize for a civilian getting in the way. Problem is, it's impossible to tell the non fighters from the enemy.
I really feel bad for the families of not only the folks who died and were wounded in Texas, but for all those who are dying and being injured over there.

Yes , I agree. The bad part of what happened last thur. is that it was on base I believe there was some ceremonies going on so there were civilians, kids and veterans caught in the middle. It seems now that he was on the radar but because of his beliefs we wanted to be "politically correct" so nothing was said. War is war but I think we need to get serious about home base first.
On a different note not even 1 month ago another guy was trying to blow up one of the tallest buildings here in Downtown Dallas. Took the van and parked and left with make believe explosive he got from the FBI.Friends dont let friends drive fords!

Now he has hired a lawyer and says he is inocent. Some one should hold court with a 45 and be done with him!!!

If the gal that shot him had been packing a 45 we'd be done with him. Took 4 shots to bring him down, 4 shots with a 45 and they'd by scraping pieces of him off the deck.Ken Thomas

So he's still alive? I have heard reports on TV and in the papers where he was dead. I hope he is still alive, I want to see him fry, dying now is too easy for him. He really screwed up doing this in Texas. You guys down there don't mess around when it comes to justice!
BTW, that other idiot the DC sniper is supposed to meet his maker tonight.

The problem is the US wants to fight with rules like the Geneva Conventions.
The taliban use's every dirty trick they can, they don't ware uniforms so they can be Identified, they use childen and women. The bleeding hearts want to say how bad the Amicans are, give me a break. We don't blow up innocent civilions on purpus or target commercial airlines with god knows who's even on the plane or crash them into civilion buildings. I wish I had the letter a friend sent me from Austraila talking about a taliban women starting trouble in a supermarket over there. Truth be known if they would not have come over here and started with us we would not be over there right now.
As far as that wanna be sniper being put to death that is to good for him.
They should chain him down put a gaint tool box in the room and let all the family members from the people he killed in the room then leave.
Then what ever happens, happens. Then I bet people will think twice about what they are doing. Kurt

Yeah, the same military that promoted him to Major after two bad performance reports, and one known attempt at contacting AlQaeda!!!!
Too bad it didn't happen off base and the Texas legal system could have dealt with him.....
To me, it's another case of the bureacracy...this time the Army's....not paying attention to the facts that were in front of them..... Nothing can justify what the man did, but nothing can justify the bureaucratic BS that ignored the obvious!!!! When are we going to tighten up on enforcment and apply a bit of common sense to who we even let into this country, let alone our military?????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I am a disabled Viet Nam Veteran, i was a helicopter flight engineer in Nam, and strangely enuff my LAST active Duty Station was Ft. Hood Texas, I actually lived in both Killeen, Coppera's Cove, Nolanville and Harker Heights durin my time there, Sept 70 thru Dec 75, tho i was discharged Dec 74.
In any event, at any time this is a horrible turn of affairs.
Though i was involved in an extremely unpopular, at the time, combat, i yet feel as much for todays soldiers at home AND abroad exactly as i felt for myself, no matter in what capacity they serve.
These brave young women and men put it all on the line all the time everywhere and this is just a testiment to that painfull fact.
I must say, even as a disabled veteran, i do NOT REGRET my service or my sacrafice and even knowing what i do now, i would gladly do it all over again, and though i have disagreed with the manner in which EVERY conflict in our history was carried out, i CAN'T find it in me to say that the conflict itself was uncalled for or wasted life, no life spent in the pursuit of freedom and order is wasted just because the loss of life was misdirected or ambiguous.
Everytime u see a veteran, disabled or fine, AND OR an active duty service person, tell em thanks, they deserved it, make sure they know that even if u disagree with the handleing of whatever conflict they may serve under, u DO NOT DISAGREE with them serving and u r concerned for their welfare, before, during and AFTER service. Trust me, even just being IN the military at a time when the services are in harms way AND inflicting harm u must accept that whatever YOU do is devoted to the end of causeing harm to others with as little harm befalling you and ur fellow servicemen as possible, in short, every ounce of blood shed is on the hands of every service person at the time, equally and THAT is the FACT that service personel and veterans must deal with for LIFE. IF You Love America you can't thank them enuff...Dallas

I don't think you are being mean at all, I would call it COMMON SENSE! General Pershing had it right, the Peace & Love generation has evolved into the "PC" generation and we as a country are weaker for it,we need to fight these people on terms they will understand,I would not mind at all if pigs blood were mixed into every bullet our troops use against them,it would not be a bad thing for them to have some terror in their own back yard.

Thanks JeffB2; I thought I might be alone on this one.
Now if we could just get the media to say all US soldiers bullits are
soaked in pigs blood when the rounds are being made that might have a effect on the war!!! If they know they won't be getting thier vigins and will be thrown in to hell as soon as they die, maybe they won't be in such a hurry to attack American soldiers.
Just the way I see it. Kurt
Thank you Roger. .
