50's Dinky Diecast
Hello Folks,I have an early 50's-60's Dinky & Corgi collection that I've been collecting for years. These were English made, pre-Matchbox,HotWheels era. Most of these are of British vehicles, and very few American made cars. There are so many brands out there today, and the detail is much better than the older stuff.

Yeah, I just picked up a V8 Vega with side pipes and the 70s Cragar 5 spokes. I have never seen one of thee and found it in Kosovo where I am currently deployed.

What house wouldn't be complete without diecasts. I've got an antique, glass front cabinet in the entry with all sorts of stuff; midgets, '50s Indy, woodies, trucks, Hallmarks, and more. Then a small display in the water closet just in from the garage, and then a small display over my desk.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Real nice collection Bob! Say, I don't see a '40 Ford Coupe or C'dan in the group.
Who made your '32s in the second pic?
Danbury Mint has a neat looking "1940 Ford Coupe Vintage Hot Rod" that I think I'll pick up.
My wife thinks I'm getting a little carried away with these "little cars" as she calls them but heck, I only have 7 cars so far.Last edited by Larry M; 01-04-2010 at 10:30 AM.

ARTEMIS1759, that's quite a find considering your current location. Who made the car and where in the heck did you find it over there?
Keep your head down buddy, want you back safe and sound!!
Got any pics of it?

I traded off my whole collection a few years back. I had everthing from hotwheels, jonny lightening, to the bigger scale stuff. If you like rat rod and other style stuff you can check out Jada toys. They do alot of the dub style and lowrider stuff.
I was gonna recomend GMP, but Bob beat me to it. They make some real nice stuff.

Thanks, already did Bob! Told her I have a long way to go but also had to tell her you just started collecting these things a few years ago. The GMP has some real nice cars for sure.Every Day I Wake Up Above Ground Is a Good Day!!

Danbury Mint has a neat looking 1935 Ford Pickup Vintage Hot Rod called the
“Ace Hot Rods”. Scale 1:24; 7-1/8" in length. Even has a plumbed moon aluminum fuel tank and a little cardboard box in the bed with a couple of Moon caps in it.Last edited by Larry M; 01-04-2010 at 11:57 PM. Reason: C R S........
