    rust in piece

     



    i have a few thousand rusting old car pics to add frum time to time
    iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

    there were a few old cars in the woods out back my house at 1 time. 1 was a '70 Hemi Roadrunner.. rusted to peices back there.. my dad pulled it out so he could harvest the Hemi ( friends with the land owner ) and put it the '68 Cornet he had.. ended up selling the cars to a restorer

    it gets worse .. the fairlane is a 428 cobra .. you can see the Snake emblem in the garden tiller handle .. the mustang in the background is also a 428 car .. these guys swear they`re gunna fix this stuff someday .. there is more to come ..
    iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

    Geez, them "gonna rebuild it someday" guys drive me nuts!!!! I've got a short list of cars that fall into the same catagory and make it a point to check with the owner's of them at least once a year.....one of them is a '70 Torino GT---

    Funny, we just did a BC/CC respray of a 70 Malibu this past week.

    I'm one of those guys.
    I had two `49 Bonus F1 Fords sitting in my shed for thirty years...was always 'gonna rebuild them someday'.
    Marriage, family, work, mortgages etc got in the way.
    Four or five months ago I decided the time/finances were right.
    Pull them out and DO IT!

    They quite literally fell to bits.

    (Reminder to self; if I ever get to meet Dave Severson, never turn my back...or I'll get a swift kick...)

    hmmmmmm. I've been trying to come up with some good reasons to visit the down under side one more time, looks like I know have one more reason to go!!!!!!!!
