Yeah, it really was very disorganized, wasn't it? Everyone was running around in different directions with no one really directing what should happen next. They finally got some order going on the last day.

Obviously,we havent got it down here yet,,probably next year, but I can honestly say,I watched SOME of the monster garage shows,SOME of the American Hotrod,a few Rides, and a whole lot of American Chopper..At least the Teutuls appeared to be having a bit of fun amongst the bovine excrement that was being filmed,I dont think I have seen anyone wreck so much stuff, and enjoy doing it.Micah 6:8

Well it's always a blast to watch a show of non-car guys attempt to be cool and build a hot rod. The shows producers make a feeble attempt to copy the old Jesse James Monster Garage show. They must have plenty of money to throw away as they gave over $25,000 of goodies to the five participants after the "completion" of that abortion they called a "gasser". They couldn't even decide what year the stock Ford Roadster Pickup was, as it was referred to as a "28 model" at least once. The '26 Ford sedan they butchered up was listed in the TV Guide as a '28. First time I ever saw anyone build the frame to fit the body and then try to figure out the ride height. The so called "artist"s conception was absolutely pitiful. The drawing (as well as the "finished" car) were so far out of proportion that it actually made most 'rat rods' look good. The final pass down the strip was equally pitiful. They claimed 1000 HP with the blown Ford engine. The skinny slicks should have just smoked em all the way down the track. And then they lost to a 500 HP car with street tires.
I had some good laughs. I got P.O. at the stupidity being shown. The "artist" Detroit Brother should stick to "tagging" and drinking, as that is what came across as his forte on that "show". Perhaps he just realized how lame the show was and sat back and took the money. Times are tough for bike builders right now.

well did they show there hand ? i allways hear from guys that say how great the work is in detroit and go 130 miles south on I75 only to haul it back north to get it fixed right .i not saying all things are crap from there .but boy they sure could of done a hole hell of alot better ?? that 460 ford was never was going to make 1000 hp look at the top pulley on the blower it was very big not set for kill .the one guy on there did race at ubly drag way with the heads up vega . he knows his stuff .but they did not write the show around him . times are tuff here in mich so if they took money to keep going i can see that .now would i like to be on tv building crap NO .but i think i could of done much better with the crew i know and work with over the years. so would i like to be on TV and take the money if i had some input on the show you bet. i think i could do better? but what do i know about TV.... i just watch itLast edited by pat mccarthy; 12-30-2009 at 02:20 PM.

There are now shows about clowns driving wreckers, driving some road in Alaska, riding on a fishing boat; all kinds of stuff. Throw in the shows about building cars. Does a group of wrecker drivers watch the show about some clown in Chicago towing stuff and proclaim "it's too hokey and they dont show enough detail"? Probably they do. And the commercial fishermen who whatch the show and want to see more of their fishing skills rather than a bunch of water splashing everywhere......these shows are not made for car guys, fishermen, wrecker drivers, or truck drivers in Alaska.....they're made for the morons who never will do any of these things and who have time to sit in front of the tube and listen to the advertisements....the show is only filler material until the next ad.
