Where is Brian?
Every once in a while we look up and realize we haven't heard from some member for a while. It just dawned on me Brian (Brianrupnow) hasn't been here for a while. I checked his stats and the last time he posted was Sept. Hope he's ok. Has anyone heard from him?

I saw him answer a thread the other day - can't remember on which site. He said that he had hardly any work & that's about all.

I saw the same posting Doug did a few days ago ((I don't know exactly how much a "few" is, but I saw it, too).
I had been wondering about him myself.

Last time I saw him post he mentioned that, since he bought the metal lathe, he had become involved with building model steam engines and was spending a lot of time on a forum that was dedicated to that hobby.Remember, Freedom isn't Free, thousands have paid the price so you can enjoy what you have today.

It sounds like he is ok then, maybe just taking a little break from car stuff. Hope that is it.

Hi Fellows--I am alive and well. I've had a bad year here with very little work, and suffering a bit from winter "blahs". I'm sure that my "hotrod flame" will burn a lot brighter when the warm weather rolls around again. For now, the "Wild Canary" has gone to bed for the winter in my garage, covered up with a couple of old bedsheets. After such a wet nasty summer last year, and such a lack of work this summer and winter, I just haven't had anything "post-worthy" to talk about. Thanks for asking about me.---BrianLast edited by brianrupnow; 01-05-2010 at 08:12 AM.

I just did a quick read thru the post on making a grill shell. Dang, I was good, wasn't I!!! I just love doing those "How to" posts. I haven't really done anything "New" on the Wild Canary since last spring when I made the sidewindows and took that trip down to the east coast in two weeks of wall to wall rain. The car still works great, and I MAY build a 350 to replace the tired 305 this coming year---Of course, that depends on this miserable economy doing better in the coming year.--cross your fingers, guys---Lets hope for better times ahead!!!---BrianOld guy hot rodder

Glad to see you back, Brian! You know, if you want to ditch the 305 but you're worried about the economy, a turbo or blown V6 WOULD save you some $$ on gas.
