Fire!!
I rent half of a duplex and my neighber started a fire while trying to fix
his car in his garage. My wife and two kids were home and thankfully got out
without injurys. Sadly our cat didn't survive the fire. Now we are trying to
salvage what ever we can.TEAMWORK is essential, it allows you to blame someone else!

Sorry to hear about your loss, went through a house fire back in 96 and know exactly the emotional rollercoaster you and your family are now going through. Take things one step at a time and remember, while you lost a cherished pet and personal belongings, your wife and kids are safe and healthy. Also, keep in mind that even though the kids might not show it, they are under a tremendous amount of stress due to this, show them that things are ok and that as a family you will overcome this minor glitch in their life. While we are hundreds of miles away, anything we can do to help you guys out, just let us know.
Sincerely,
Bill S. & FamilyInstead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.

Randy,
Sorry to hear about your fire, a fire is never a good thing. Glad your wife and kids are ok! Sorry to hear about your cat, we have 2 indoor & 3 outside cats, and pets are family also.
How is your car?
Hudson is a cool old river town. My yonger brother lives in N Hudson, his wife works at Village Inn there, my older brother lives in Oak Park Hieghts on the other side of the river, I lived next to the Maplewood mall. So I know Hudson pretty good.
My older brother runs a boat on the river there that has 3-BBC 502's, he use to run a blow'n & injected 454 18' Sanger pickle fork, and I had a gold 18' Sanger flatbottom with a HP 454 with a screw, my yuounger brother has 18' pleasure boat with a inboard 4.3.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. As Bill says, this will be a milestone event in the lives of your kids, and they will always go back to, "Well, the house burned in Janary 2010...." Ours was spring 1957 when I was nine, with the house burning to the foundation as flood waters receded, and at 62 it is still that way for me. I suggest that you take time to explain things to them in simple terms, and that too will become engrained in their memories. It is sad to lose a pet, but the family is OK and you can get through the setback.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Man, you're lucky to be alive. Sorry to hear about your cat; I know that's tough. I'm pretty attached to my cats. They're like having a couple of weird looking kids except they dont borrow money.
