Do any of you know if tecinspector is active on another forum. I have some questions for him. He is a wealth of knowledge that I miss on here.

I think NTFDAY in Springfield mentioned that Tech is "...offline and regrouping" some time back.

That would be true. Tech got burned out on the whole forum thing and the last time I talked to him, about a week ago, he said that he doubted that he would ever post on any forum again. After being flamed numerous times when he felt it was unjustified, he said to hell with the whole scene.
I've tried many times to get him to reconsider, we've been friends since 1957, to no avail. I shall keep trying to get him to reconsider, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Hate to hear Tech is no longer posting. He has been a great help to my build on several occasions. Please thank him for me when you can. Man, you hate to lose the knowledge base of someone like this.

Not sure why, but DennyW popped into my mind when I read this... two very knowledgable guys who used to be here all the time. Both are missed, at least I miss them both.

this is too bad, I've seen it before, a friend of mine who had over 60 years, yes 60, gunsmithing experience posted on a forum I am a member of (he's since passed away unfortunately). he knew more than 99% of gun people out there, and finally gave up after dealing with too many idiots and their attitudes. he'd still look sometimes, and comment to me on things, but stopped the posting. it's too bad it happens, it worse for all of us that want to benefit from their knowledge and are grateful for it.

no wonder he hadn't answere a PM from me.

Hopefully he'll cool off and come back; he's a super nice guy and a great resource for anything hot rod. That's just guys; we get pissed off and sometimes we just need some solitude to get our heads together.

We've all said and done things we regret later.........H***, I do it on a daily basis! Sometimes events going on in our personal lives bleed into our posts and if we are having a bad day, or week, that is how we come across.

I too hope Richard and Denny come back, I always found them ready to help anyone and full of knowledge. A little break might do them both good.

Ain't that the truth. When I get the snarls, I try not to post.

As far as Tech - usually folks just need a cool off period, especially if they get flamed. They often will eventually return. I hope this is the case here.

Denny has been seen 'elsewhere' on other forums and may not be back here as he has been BANNED again for being ....well... Denny
