    Irwindale race---

Anybody else catch it on Speed last night and tonight?? Joey Logano won it, but man there was a 16 year old kid named Sergio Pena finished second!!!!! What a show!!! 200 laps of intense racing with no bangin' or beatin' on each other. Then a 19 year old wins, and a 16 year old gets second.... Oh yeah, Pena qualified on the pole, too!! Are we all gettin' old, or what????

Anyhow, remember the kids name. Sergio Pena. Very polite, very well spoken, and one heck of a driver!!! Think we'll be hearing his name a bit more in the future.... Which NASCAR team do you suppose will own him???? Had a first rate, best of everything car and Andy Santerre as a crew chief, but still, he's just a kid!!!! Heck, he had to skip school on Friday to even get out to California for qualifying!!!!!

Oh yeah, if anybody cares the qualifiers are Feb. 11, Thursday afternoon, Speed TV will be carrying them. I've pre-planned being sick that day and catching them on the tube, always a couple of good races. Sure do wish I was there this year!!!!
