The Roush cars are running the new R-9 engine, seems to be making some decent power!!!! Think they're running the old engines for the 500, though.....

Well - Harvick survived that wreckfest. Surprisingly Kahne now in a Ford was second. Looks like the Roush cars got wadded up on that last caution, tho they did seem to have a bunch of power.

Surprised how well Danica did in the ARCA race even after a ride thru the toolies. Maybe she'll eventually give the good ol' boys a lesson.

HeHeHe--always nice to take the claim to fame of being the first one to spin a rookie... Welcome to the big leagues, Sweetie!!!!!

Ever notice how all the drivers from the other forms of Motorsports get "welcomed" to the world of overweight fendered cars with big bumpers????

Oh yeah - Sam Hornish is still getting "help" tho they seem to have given up on Montoya - he gives the "help" back real quick.

yup, Monotya gives as good as he gets, for sure!!!! After getting over the culture shock of going from F1 to Rubbin' is Racin', he took to this NASCAR stuff quite well. Big surprise to me, thought he'd maybe make half a season and run back to the "be polite when you pass" racing... Danica talks a tough game, it will be fun to see how involved she really gets in NASCAR--if not, she sure is a lot better to look at during interviews then the rest of the driver's!!!!!!

I have never been one to jump on anybodys bandwagon just becuase they are new or "Different". I also dont watch a lot of Indy car, but my take on Danica was so was just a passable of a driver, nothing really special. She has won one Indy Car race and it was done on Strategy, don't get me wrong a win is a win. She also runs up in the field pretty well, but nothing to really write home about. I personally thought that Stock Car racing was going to whip her young and pretty butt, none of the open wheel guys have done real well and certainly not in the begining. Why would this driver "Danica" who has only been fair be any better?

Those were my thoughts as I sat down to watch the Arco race. Well sports fans Miss Patrick showed me a thing or two. Maybe she should have started in Stock Cars!! That ride through the grass was handled just fine by her, she didn't let the car get into the wall and be all wadded up, got it under control and made it to the pits. They made three or four pit stops to get the car back in shape, and she re intered the race after the caution almost in dead last. She was the last car on the lead lap. She worked her way through that field in only about three laps, man she looked like a veteran Stock Car driver weaving through those cats. She made a couple of moves on that trek that even Dale senior would have been proud of. She worked her way up to fifth banging and rubbing like it came natural to her. Her last lap run at the checkered rubbed all of the paint off of one side of the car as she damn sure wasn't giving an inch. Her 6th place finished was for sure and for certain not a gimmy either as she deserved what she got last night.

Now one Arco race does not a career or a driver make, when she gets into her first Nationwide ride the competition and the cars are going to be a whole nuther deal. Time will tell if she is the real deal or not, but last night Miss Danica made a new fan......

Still haven't even seen highlights of the ARCA race, but from what I've heard from others the consensus is about the same as Roland said...maybe she has a new home????

ARCA race? I tought it was a Danica Patrick race! That's all they talked about. What about the other 5 lady drivers? I can't remember her name, but the one with the light puple car was in 3rd for most the race!
I didn't care for the race which we always watch, because they acted like she was the only one that mattered! It was better with the sound off!
She is no beginner and she has only won one other race, and she is a bitch to all the drivers, from what the Indy drivers say!

I hope she stays with Indy only!

I hope Nationwide race mc'ers don't talk all night about her! It will suck then too!
And then see what happen's when she rubs paint.
