Is it possible to ski doing 70+mph???..

I grew up in Southern California near Lake Arrowhead. My best friend had a Rayson Craft with a 427 Ford spoutin two big Holley quads and let me assure you - you can ski at 70MPH! It's a real surprise to hit the water at that speed - but that's a story for a different day.

Awesome boat! You'll have some real fun with this one!

    Regards,
    Glenn

From experience in my youth, you don't really hit the water at that speed, more like skipping like a stone until you catch the wrong edge.....At that point it is like hitting a solid wall of stone, which is what you then sink like

Kinda like kissing concrete. Bloody nose and nearly drowned but we always wore the full flotation vests so i bobbed like a cork until I was fished out - not a lot of fun to crash at anything much above 30-35..

Those are 2 sweeeet rides. I too picked up a boat last month. Only a lowly 15' Westcoaster fishing boat, for me and the kids to have some fun with. I see tubing and teaching them how to water ski also. I will be ringin all 50HP out of her! Now the hot rod will get pushed farther back. Oh well, that's life with kids.

    Gotta love um!

Not sure about 70, but if you catch an edge and go over the high side at 50+ you may be on crutches for a few months and not walk correctly for over a year. I've verified that BTW. that was ~ 10 years ago. I finally gave in and sold the boat a couple years later. sure miss it however. 18' Marlin with Chev power.
