30yrs ago today
30yrs ago today(4-16-1980) I tricked this innocent young lady by the name of Denise to marry me
And have children together .
I couldn't have asked for a better person to be married too & she even puts up w/my crap & junk.
Welllll to a certain point anyway
It's been a fantastic ride & to make things even better she retired yesterday from work after 32yrs.
So the real fun will be just beginning now...
Oh by the way I have it from a good source that our son Joe & his wife may be moving to Japan where Joe is supposed to be stationed for at least the next 3yrs...joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not.
Both are equally terrifying.

Congratulations Joe,and Denise...its not that often now that you see a marriage that lasts that long...my folks were married 60 years, thats mind boggling...True love, trust and honesty with each other must have paid off...
Hope you have many more good years together..

Pretty darn cool!!Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Nice tribute, Joe!
On the fifth of this month Jane and I had our anniversary. That means that she has put up with me for thirty five years.
That's remarkable. I sure as heck wouldn't have put up with me for 35 years!
Obviously, we are lucky men.
Congratulations and best wishes,
Jim

Congratulations, for all of those years. That's great of both of you staying together through good times and bad times when 50% of marriages fail. I know the thick and thin, it takes a lot of love to hold on, times are not always a bed of roses. My wife and I have been married for forty years. I have been through many surgeries like you and my wife was there through it all.
My wife is going to retire in May of this year when she turns 62.
I hope your son and his wife enjoy their stay in Japan it will be different but they should be fine.
Take care and Happy Anniversary
Richard

Congratulations Joe!! It will be 36 for my wife and I in January. Seems to be a lot of long term marriages here! Thats a good thing!
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
