Whip...
You come on over and I'll take you up north to Chuckanut Drive going to Bellingham. Not a real long cruz but absolutely beautiful right along the waterfront. I try to cruz along there a couple times a summer on the way to Birch Bay, I guess you could call it... "Our short 101"!

Greg, ya keepin' count of all this?Bob's GG at Puyallup sounds good. I usually get there on Wednesday so I can find a place to park the motorhome at the RV lot. My son-in-law Brent will also be there Fri./Sat..

Something I was thinking 'bout Larry...
Since you and I always seemed to take a lot of pictures at the old Seattle Roadster Show (back when I was elbuick37)... do you know what happened there? I heard some skuttle-butt about the owner but nothing reliable. I really miss that event.

Sorry to hijack your thread again Greg but I have been on Goggle Earth again cruisin down Chuckanut Drive down to Bellingham and ,yes you guys live in the most scenic spot on earth, what a drive and I would want to stop at Oyster Creek Inn for a couple of light refreshments and also try the seafood out at the restuarant on the beach. Another spot I could fall in love with is Wildcat Cove.. Yes when I hit the jackpot, that will be differently on my list of cruises I want too accomplish in the USA. The point is I don't gamble so the chance of winning the jackpot are slim...

No problem... I have been to the Oyster Creek Inn several times but the last time I went by it was closed (I mean CLOSED). I'll have to go for another cruz if it ever quits raining! That whole area through the Skagit and Whatcom counties is beautiful. Keep on crusin Whip!!!

That's 'bout all I heard, just "skuttle-butt" too. To me the show has been going down hill the past few years it was running. Hardly anything coming up here from the big shows in Calif. Its a shame, as I really enjoyed the show. I met the new owners of the show in 2008 when I got my Media Pass and they mentioned how they were going to turn it around,,,,,, never happened tho.Every Day I Wake Up Above Ground Is a Good Day!!

This year even the Tacoma Dome "Mild to Wild" show got canceled! Man, I hope that's not a sign of the times for the Seattle area hot rodder sscene! We need some more good venues around these parts. Of course we'll never see the likes of the California venues.

Yeah, its hard to beat some of the Calif. shows, the Grand National Roadster Show was great.
I guess the Mild To Wild Show will no longer be in the Tacoma Dome but moved to the Events Center at the Puyallup Fairgrounds for 2011:Last edited by Larry M; 06-11-2010 at 09:42 AM.

Show promotion is a tough gig. Seems it's always been tough in the Seattle area. The Portland Rod & Custom show was cancelled this year too (I think the same promoter as the Seattle show)
BTW, just got a call regarding tomorrow's Maple Valley Days car show for any that are interested. We usually have the show on the shores of Lake Wilderness, but because of all the rain we've had lately it's flooded this year. The show will be held (and it's supposed to be SUNNY tomorrow!) at the Walmart side lot in Covington. Yep, the same place we do the normal Friday night cruise in.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Good place for a show Bob and will attract a lot of Walmart spectators (may or may not be a good thing) I like the Covington area and was at the Les Schwab Show there earlier this spring which was also a nice sunny day! I would be there tomorrow but am getting ready for a pre-show shindig at my place for a show on Sunday.

BTW... thanks for the update Larry on the Mild to Wild Show! I think I'll like it better at Puyallup myself.
