I saw that show and you are right, the cars and country are beautiful. It always amazes me how car lovers in other parts of the world can put these things together.......getting parts must be tough. The quality of the cars was first rate too.

Thanks guys for the compliments of our little country and yes even though I havn't attended an Americana Event yet, they are really popular and the organiser now does one in the north island and one in the south island on the same theme. We may of banned your nuclear ships and weapons from our shores but we still look upon the USA as one of our close allies.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

I saw it twice it was on last Sunday night (8/8) and I watch it again today. It was a great show indeed. I was amazed at how many American cars were there. not a bad looking ride as far as you could see. It was awesome to see them flying to American flag and enjoying the our on going love of cars. I know it has to be expensive to get the cars there. I hate to order a small item and wait for delivery can't imagine waiting on a street rod to come across from another country.
Nice looking home land you have there Whiplash23T.

Thanks but I believe all rodders down here, me included, would like nothing better than to ship our car up to the States,or buy a rod up there, and tour the States for year or so. we have a few NZers up at the speed week at the moment. Our exchange rate is or was flavourable to us for inporting cars from USA and we are lucky enough to have some excellent Hot Rod Shops down here that carry alot of stuff in store for quick delivery.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
