Goodguys West Coast Nationals
Anyone going to be at the Goodguys event in Pleasanton, CA this weekend? We're flying out to visit friends and plan to be there Friday and Saturday, and may swing by for a couple of hours Sunday depending on the turnout. Looking forward to seeing some west coast machines.Roger

Will be the first time in 15 years I will miss it. I decided to work OT instead, to help catch up on bills.

we came over from Oz last year and drove From LA /Bakersfield/ Rio/ wendover for bonnaville all the way though colorado back to LA and then up to Pleasenton just for the Good Guys West coast show. It was with out doubt one of the best Hotrod shows i've ever been to, only issue was not enough time to take it all in. make sure you get there early for the best deals in the swap meet area.
now i wish i was there...................... maybe next year

Don,
I looked for your roadster both days, and had a local guide Saturday to ensure we did not overlook any of the little side areas but never did find you. I guess I should have gotten your number to contact you at the fairgrounds. Were you in the light brown car w/yellow accents you show above, and where did you park?Last edited by rspears; 08-30-2010 at 12:49 AM.

NW Nat's Pictures
Here's a link to a PhotoBucket Album with the cars that caught my fancy at the 2010 NW Nationals. You won't see Don's (DA34GUY's) roadster as I couldn't ever find him amongst all of the other cars there!!

I was there on Sunday from about 10 til 12. Was the smallest turnout that I have seen. There were only about 2/3 the normal vehicles. Was still good just not the same. Must be the economy.Bug

Bug,
I was there both Friday and Saturday, and Saturday had at least 20% more cars than Friday, which is understandable. Did not go back Sunday morning, but we noticed that Saturday night the parking lot in the hotel was less than 50% and had been full Thursday and Friday nights. I believe that a lot of people left at the end of the day Saturday - not sure why.Roger

Maybe the difference for me is that I usually go on Saturdays. Maybe Sundays are always that much slower.Bug

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
