    pledge was to keep rubbler from sticking to your paint from burn out . the shifter pin was i think 1/8 or 3/16 . cut out s caps ? they were dam hot the newer hurstII shifter had stops and a place for the pin .my older oem hurst in the gto i think never had a spot for the pin had to just set them in N with no pin . it sure did not have the stops i speed shifted it alot hit the dash many times going for 3 .i was allways playing with the shifting links after a race and never could keep dash lites in it but fun fun fun crank the 396 up to 6000 dump the clutch and grab gears
