Happy First day of September!!
Well - it's here. September First. The "official" beginning of the fall season. The kids are or will soon be going back to school, the last car shows, local race cards and even the last holiday of the summer is here. My car is finally driveable, tho it hasn't had too many miles put on it yet.
And the signs of fall - the turning leaves, crispy mornings (gonna be 95* today), birds heading South, the deer are herding up (for the hunters), the RVs moving down the interstates to winter quarters in Florida........Dave W

Well Happy September.......... It was a cool crisp 79 at 5:00 this morning..... At least not 105 although forcast for 97 today I think. Kids here back in school as of Aug 23. And the weather has started to change. We got a little cold front and saw low to mid 90's for a couple of days. And so far that has ended the 100+ weather. I'd better get to work on that Arvin heater though. Before you know it I'll need it........

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

This year has really flown by fast so far, maybe the older I get the faster it goes. I sure don't remember it going this fast when I was in the Army but I went in at 17 years old.
I'm ready for a little cooler weather, it's been one hot and humid summer.

Yep, only 114 shopping days until Christmas! I am SOOOOOOOO happy to see us getting into fall and start getting rid of some of this heat. This Summer has been hotter than I can remember and it doesn't even get cool late at night any more.
On another note, only 52 build days until the Billetproof Drags in October, and only 85 days until we leave for Turkey Run at Thanksgiving. We have some hustling to do!!!!!!!!

Yes mixed emotions. Body work is slow, so I have to kick that up a big notch. Deer hunting worse. The northern California mule deer population is down 50% from last year. Wildlife biologist think it has to do with increased predation (mountain lions, bears, and coyotes) 80% of the estimated fawn population died for some reason that is now part of a three year study(so hunting of course, isn't going well this year!) The weather here has decided to be summer, after being cool and overcast most of the summer(today highs in the 90's).
I guess we complain about cool weather, hot weather, rain, and no rain. I've just tried to enjoy ignoring the yard more, so other projects can get done!
Too many interests make getting one thing done much harder!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Although I'm a fan of the summer ... it really was stifling this year. Its now cooling to the high 80's & low 90's here.
I haven't struck a lick at my crew cab let alone my '46 (Sorry Don).
I'm burned out at work & need a mental health day.
I can not wait till the end of the year!! Next year I'm going to do a lot of things different. Really .....
