Barb,
It happens to me once in a while, also. That''s why for me I like to have a couple of projects.
I wish we all lived closer to each other, it's times like this it would be really nice to drop by and give a hand.
Hang in their.
Ken

HE! HE! HE! I like him already.
My buddy had a real nice girl that knew about cars and she would go to the races even if he did not. She was pretty and smart and liked cars.
He went out and cheated on her I wanted to smack the piss out of him after that she met another guy and he didn't like her hanging out with a bunch of guys or gears heads so she stop comming around. She was a good girl and my buddy was a idiot.

sounds like he really was a idiot. my hubby used to go to sea with the navy for 7 months at a time. he knows that i stayed true to him. if i did not cheat on him then he when he was thousands of miles away he knows that i am not going to when i am in our back yard in the garage. as far as other guys he knows all i am interested in is their cars.BARB

Did you and your neighbor find anthing out yet Barb???
I am starting to get excited for you because I think you are
gonna love that motor in that car. Some of those engine swaps
can be pretty tricky. Not just with the wirring but getting some
of the motor mounts right so the engine is not sitting twisted or
something. I think you've gotten past the worst of it though.
Let us know what you find. Kurt

Tell 'em it's a '76, 500 CID. Their catalogs probably don't show HEI for the year of 472 that you are telling them. And the parts fellows probably aren't old enough to remember a 7.7 or an 8.2 litre motor.Last edited by techinspector1; 11-09-2010 at 10:34 PM.

Ya my brother's 76 Eldorado was a 501 with the HEI.
I love the car but I didn't like the front wheel drive on it. Seem's like every couple of years he had to do front end work to stop that clicking from the CV's.
Give me that Turbo 400 and rear wheel drive everytime.
