well guys the weather finally got better for me to get back at it. i have a friend that was going to chase my ignition demon for me but he is very busy. so i started getting busy with all the other thing i needed to do. after a week of trying to do things that need 4 hands to do i am giving up. every time i try to fix one thing another thing goes wrong. so i just sent my hubby with a list of what is left to do to get the monte running to our good local mechanic. he is going to get a estimate for me and i hope that i will have the money to get things done by the end of the month. me working on my car has always brought me peace. lately it is more frustrating than fun and my oldest son found out that i know alot more bad words than he thought i did. when i get the estimate back i will let you guys know how bad it is. thanks for all the patience with me and the help given. I am sure that i am far from finished with the monte even after it is running and will need even more help from you all.

Nothing to be ashamed of there everyone needs to know there limitations. People who don't know and won't admit it cause more problems as they go.( kind of like our president) Hope it dosen't put you in the poor house.

Hang in there Barb, so far you've done great for your first major swap. One thting to remember for you this is a hobby and as such something that you should ENJOY doing, not something you HAVE to do like a job. Sometimes instead of fighting something that is fighting you, step back and do something else on it for a while. If you add everything up into one big list it can be overwhelming.......one step at a time it's not too bad.
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

thaks guys. the mechanic is a former drag racer and loves working on muscle cars. he said that from what my husband told him that the engine mounts are designed wrong. that is why the engine is not setting fully down. he also told them that is sounds like a great swap and he can make me some mounts that are correct with his plasma cutter. that he will set the engine correctly and mount the tranny to the support bar and install my ujoints and mount the drive shaft. said that he is going to be as reasonable as possible and then send it back to me to finish. that he really likes the swap that i am attempting and thinks that it is great that a woman is doing it. its just that i do not have the tools to do what he can do. i am so much happier. he has even souped up old caddys and loves the 472. so i am now going to get a couple of new tires for the front and put my hood back on to get it too him. he even said that he will take payments.

thanks guys for the support. i spent 2 days completely depressed. till my hubby told me that if it was this bad to remember that it was just a car. that made me mad ( as he knew it would) and made me come up with a solution. now i can not wait for it to be done.
