i thought the rear was a floater too, a nova with a floater and nascar vibe hmmm, wide five rims hubs and all, just a thought i really like the hatch back i dont remember seeing that many, there was a isca show car here in st louis in the 80s that had a an assload of real gold plating on everything, plus a gold metal flake paint job totally over the top car, a freind had a nova with that body style that was a four door with the police package that his dad bought at an auction, what a sleeper, cram six people in the four door and go do burnouts hahaha.

Hey Carl, how about a 31 spline floater with the gun drilled axles and stuff---tuff enough for the drag strip? Sure as heck would make gear changes a whole lot easier!!!!

Nice work! Just curious what size tires are those and what are the plans for tubs? Widened factory or brand new aftermarket? Brian

tires are 29x15.5x15 tubs came today from Jeg's. There is room for more width but this should be good.

Between the 57 and the Nova I don't seem to be getting anywhere. The headliner is almost in the 57. The left rear quarter rockerpanel and bottom of the rear quarter are all welded in and ground down. tomorrow should see the driver side finished. Then its to the pass side. The parts are coming in for the engine if nothing else this is getting expensive.

Driver side quarter and rocker done Pass side quarter almost. Tub on pass side and dr side about finished. Its slow but it is moving along The tire on the floor is waiting for Hoosier to evaluate the tube. IThe instructions were inflate to 20psi then deflate then reinflate to 20psi?? I figured they wanted to get any wrinkles out... So when I refilled it .....It woulden't so I took it apart and the tube was split for about 10"???? I have no idea how that happened but glad it was in shop and not on the road.

Haven't been posting much on here lately just to busy trying to get this project MORE underway. Quarters are done. I had a broken hinge thats replaced. Had to raise the engine 3/4" to get clearance for headers. Floor is all done. Working on heater box as valve cover is in the way of hose outlets. Spent 3 days trying to find a spark plug wire set that fit. Thanks Accel. New distributor. Waiting for carb kit and coil. This morning made the mounting bracket for power steering pump as they don't make one.

That bracket ought to hold it in place Charlie! Good progress, about ready to button up the front of the Nova, huh?
